The Wife Maker Blog Tour

Image
Blog Tour Schedule The Wife Maker by Karey White Charlotte has spent years as the husband maker, sending every guy she dates off to enjoy marital bliss with the next girl he dates. But things have now changed, and she's determined to use her husband-maker abilities one last time--on herself. And she finally knows exactly who she wants. Angus has loved Charlotte since they were teenagers, but he's tired of waiting for her to realize how good they could be. She's broken his heart one too many times, and it's time to move on with his life. Maybe a position halfway across the country will be just what he needs to get over her. But when Charlotte won't let him go without a fight, Angus has to decide if he's willing to let her in again or if she's too late. Excerpt: My phone rang before six the next morning. Who would call that early on a Sunday? I rubbed my bleary eyes and looked at the screen. The number was unfamiliar and a strange configuration. I

Express Yourself: February 23 to February 27, 2015

The Express Yourself Weekly Meme is hosted  Bouquet Of Books  and  Entertaining Interests .  This week's topic is: Name a secondary character who you think deserves their own series/stand alone. There are so many secondary characters that I would like to see get their day in the sun that this was a hard choice but one of my very favourites is Chase from Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth books. The tough, always prepared boundary warden is one of my favourite characters (after the Mord Sith) and I would love to see more of him and his family.  Even just a little one off story like Debt of Bones was for Zedd would be fantastic. Who is a secondary character that you think deserves a shot a stardom? This is a blog hop:

Idisina The Black Rider Review

Image
A richly woven fantasy novel about the battle between the sexes and the struggle over ideology, power, and religion. Take a moment and imagine foot prints on the sand, the foam on the beach washes back and forth leaving a thin imprint that divides between thought and action. If killing awakens a flutter of butterflies in your gut would you commit the crime? On an island where women rule, Daniel starts a revolution. During the night of his grandmother's death, Daniel decides to run with his emotions. From that moment on, he ventures out from the city of his birth and meets characters that will fashion his future; a warrior, a deserter, a man and a woman. Review: This was a very unique book, there were parts of it that I wish were explored or explained in greater depth.  The character development could have been a little deeper but as a whole it was very enjoyable. Idisina The Black Rider Can Be Found on  Amazon . I received a copy on this book in exchange for an hon

Sand, Sound & Soul Review

Image
With the wedding seeming to loom closer with every day even though it's well over a year away I am jumping at every chance I get to delve into every aspect of wedding couture I can.  It's an interesting experience.  And not one that I think both parties of this engaged couple are enjoying.  As much Mike loves me I think he is getting tired of all the wedding stuff I am constantly at him with. I am very interested in doing something that involves the kids in the ceremony and makes them feel that we are moving forward together as a family.  With that in mind I was very excited to read this book. Book Summary: Discover Sand Ceremony Secrets for Creating the Best Wording, Unity Pouring Styles, and Color Palette Choices! In her ground-breaking new book, Sand, Sound & Soul: Sealing Your Wedding with a Personalized Unity Sand Ceremony , Sharon Vaz takes you on a fascinating tour of today's most unique wedding and commitment ceremony - capable of displaying your lov

The Cover Plug Review and Giveaway

Image
Even with the kids being a little older I still worry about them and the electrical outlets.  Heck, sometimes I worry about me and the electrical outlets.  Especially the one in the bathroom near the sink.  Some days I think that one was but there for the soul purpose of taking years off of my life. Take a look at this cover plate though, called the  Cover Plug  it sits over the outlet completely and pretty much just blends into the wall. I wish these had been around when my babies were tiny, tiny.  We used those old fashioned round things.  I could ever get them back out of the outlet to use it but Ace sure had no problem.  With this he would never even have been tempted. Want to try them out for yourself?  Enter below. a Rafflecopter giveaway I received this product in exchange for an honest review.

Me Tarzan You Jane Blog Tour

Image
Tour Schedule Me Tarzan, You Jane by Camelia Miron Skiba Moving on doesn’t always have to mean goodbye. Widowed makeup artist Jane Sullivan is more comfortable keeping her husband's memory alive than dating a pool full of sharks. Ella, her 4 year-old daughter, is her whole world. When Jane meets Lucas Oliver, famous cover model, it’s hate at first sight. His playboy persona rubs her the wrong way. Accustomed to every woman fawning over him, Lucas is drawn to the shy, uncompromising single mom and completely melts at the sight of Ella. He is determined to convince Jane that sometimes a second chance can mend a broken heart. EXCERPT 1 There’s a discomforting long moment of silence. Lucas searches my face with visible interest, lingering on my eyes and lips. I’m tempted to lick them but there isn’t an ounce of saliva left in my mouth. Then I panic, thinking maybe there’s chocolate in the corner of my mouth from the M&Ms I crunched on minutes ago—or worse, some

Express Yourself : February 2 to February 6, 2015

Image
So clearly I am a little late with this post but hey, that's just how I roll. The Express Yourself Weekly Meme is hosted  Bouquet Of Books  and  Entertaining Interests .  This week's topic is: What's the most creative way you can come up with to send a thank you note?  (submitted by J. Lenni Dorner) I like to send thank you notes, sadly I am always slow and they usually end up being really late.  Like months late.  But always cute. I am not very original though, I just send plain old thank you notes with cards or postcards.  I just plaster them with stickers like I do everything else that gets mailed out of my house.  Because everything is better with stickers. How do you like to say thank you?

Stretching The Borders Review

Image
Sometimes reality is beyond all imagination. When you play the the game, stretching the borders, you can get lost and forget the rules. Naomi leads a so-called peaceful life. She lives in a lovely apartment in the center of Tel Aviv with her loving, supporting husband and their two teenage children, works for a daily newspaper, and in her free time concentrates on art.  But all this isn't enough when her entire world is turned upside down one evening after which she's drawn into a maelstrom of emotions and urges, lies and enigmas. Secrets from the past surfaces and merge with new ones, and Naomi discovers she's living a complex life with parallels in several worlds: the people closest to her are also hiding their secrets and abusing her trust. Forgiveness, absolution, and feelings of guilt. Stretching the Borders raises questions about the essence of forgiveness, absolution, and feelings of guilt, as they face secrets and lies, some less white than others.  The

Learning Success Review and Giveaway

Image
There is nothing that stresses me more than the fact that Ace is having trouble in school.  He's such a bright kid and the frustration that he has with certain aspects of stuff he's expected to do at school is turning our lives into a nightmare. The Learning Success Program is a simple do-at home program that will show you how to find core problems and overcome them.  Learning is made up of basic core skills.  There are sixteen of them in all.  Typical learning difficulties are small weaknesses in a combination of two or three of these skills.   The Learning Success program offers a variety of activities building in complexity designed to help children improve their learning skills.  So far the only improvement I have seen in Ace is his focus but that's a huge start because at least he is focusing. I look forward to seeing where the activities go over time. I received this product in exchange for an honest review. a Rafflecopter giveaway
