Celebrate The Small Things: July 31, 2015

Image
Celebrate the Small Things is hosted by  Lexa Cain  along with wonderful co- hosts  Writing Off The Edge  and  The Cyborg Mom . Life has been so busy lately that blogging has taken a huge back burner in my life.  I have learned a lot about moving though, mostly that I hate it and anyone who does it with children and does have a nervous breakdown has all my respect. This week I am celebrating that Ace is having a fantastic summer away with his Uncle.  If you follow us on  Instagram  then you've been able to follow along with some of their adventures. The other thing that I'm celebrating is that our one-on-one time with Cat while her brother is away is not getting lost in the shuffle of the move.  We've gotten to enjoy all sorts of fun stuff so far, the water park, the beach, movie night. What are you celebrating this week?

Throwback Thursday: July 30, 2015

With Caribana coming up this weekend I am really sad to not be participating this year.  Oh well, just another casualty of the move.

Currently.... {I read  Jamie Morrow's  Currently every week and I always want to hop on board because it seems like such a fun way to keep you guys updated on the stuff going on in my life so here I am.} Loving... That soon I will be living closer to my office and have more time to do all the things that I enjoy doing again. Reading... Jeff Gunhus's Jack Templar series, the fifth book comes out next week keep an eye out here for my review later in August.   Watching... A lot of Monster High movies with Cat because Ace is away.  Does the desire to dress like a cartoon character ever strike you or is that just me? Listening To... 1990's Playlists on Google Play.  I really have a thing for music from when I was a teenager these days.    Thinking About... All the thing that need to be done before I move.  For everything I check off the list I add three more, it's very frustrating.   Anticipating... Iggle Ca

Ready, Set, Write!: July 27, 2015

Here I am, a day late AGAIN.  But I am updating so there's that.  Packing to move children is terrible, I remember it being easier last time but I had one less kid and he was only just over a year old and had so much less stuff. Ready. Set. WRITE! is a summer writing intensive that provides an opportunity for us to cheer each other on wherever we’re at in our writing—planning, drafting, or revising. This year, RSW is being hosted by  Alison Miller ,  Katy Upperman ,  Erin Funk ,  Elodie Nowodazkij , and of course,   Jamie Morrow  which is how I found it. This week's check up is looking a little better. 1.  How I did on last week’s goals: I did write a few words on my WiP, literally I think in amounted to maybe three or four sentences. :( I DID NOT find my summer hats, we took Cat to the beach and I have a nasty sunburn as sunscreen was not enough.  I also DID NOT go see Antman or schedule pick up of stuff to be donated.  I did get stuff packed but not near my tar

Day 4: What goals do you have participating in 100 Days of Being Geek Chic and Healthy?           My biggest goal is being able to talk about myself more comfortably. Introducing my followers to the wonderful world of all the things I love. Learning a little bit more about myself as I blog my way through the challenge.\

Express Yourself: June 15 to 19, 2015

Image
The Express Yourself Weekly Meme is hosted  Bouquet Of Books  and  Entertaining Interests .  This week's topic is: You have been blindfolded & taken to a secret place, when the blindfold is removed, where are you? When my blindfold was taken off I would be seated in a plush window seat surrounded by super soft, fluffy pillows.  I would have a gorgeous view of the ocean and my laptop so that I could write. Next to me on a tiny table is a well made latte which was served by Ianto, he is hovering nearby in case I should desire more coffee.

This week's check up is a few days late. 1.  How I did on last week’s goals: Well...my son left for Calgary on Friday so there's that but that's about all I've achieved outside of making it to work in the last week due to migraines from the depths of a place I won't name.  And well to be honest he did most of the work on that one. 2.  My goal(s) for this week: Write something on my WiP Pack, purge and pack some more Go see Antman Unearth my summer hats. Schedule pick up of donation items 3.  A favorite line from my story OR one word/phrase that sums up what I wrote/revised: What I wrote this week was: nothing but I did

Celebrate the Small Things is hosted by  Lexa Cain  along with wonderful co- hosts  Writing Off The Edge  and  The Cyborg Mom . Not a lot to celebrate this week, I have made small progress on my current WiP so that's always exciting for me! As well I am going to the movies with my mom tonight before I start a long weekend of cleaning and packing.  Yay!  More to report next week. Hopefully everyone else has more to report:

100 Days of Being Geek Chic And Healthy: Day 3

Image
Day 3: If there is a book or movie that inspires your life what would it be and why? How do you choose just one?  There have been so many over the years that have inspired my life. (yup, I have life experience) Lame I know but I was the right age when this movie came out for it to inspire me to be like, a better person. Plus, my gosh!  The fashion in this movie.  I am pretty sure that my entire sense of style for most of my life was based on this movie.  Or at least ideas from it.  Among other things, I went through a huge Zena, Warrior Princess phase as well. Blog Tour Schedule Stick in the Mud Meets Spontaneity (Meet Your Match #3) by Rachael Anderson Home from college for the summer, Samantha Kinsey steps into her role as nanny for her two favorite little charges. But when she finds herself playing chauffeur more than playmate, her summer outlook quickly turns from fun to bleak. That is, until she drives the girls to a family-owned ranch and meets Colten McCoy—a genuine, hard-working cowboy, who's as set in his ways as he is handsome. Although he claims he doesn't need any fun in his life, Sam’s determined to help him find it. But she'll soon discover that cowboys are about as easy to train as wild mustangs. Stick in the Mud Meets Spontaneity is about an adaptable girl and a not so adaptable guy. It’s about learning to accept people for who they are and realizing that sometimes who they are is exactly who they should be. Start purging my books drink more water get boxes for packing organize my son to go out west 3.  A favorite line from my story OR one word/phrase that s
